About Me
ADOPTION PENDING!! Schroeder is one of seven puppies that were surrendered by a family living on a dairy farm in the west valley. They own both the parents, mom was a border collie/cattledog mix and dad is a registered smooth coated black and white border collie. The puppies will be smooth (short) coats dogs. Puppies seem very well-socialized and healthy. They will all be neutered or spayed before adoptions will be finalized. Schroeder has a lot of white on his body, with large patches of black on his body, and typical black and white markings on his head. Schroeder believes that he is a baby penguin. He would spend all day sitting between your feet if given the oppertunity. When we first brought him home he was shy and very nervous. With the help of our three dogs and just getting him out into the world Schroeder has really started to come out of his shell. This smart little boy learned his name within a few hours, he has figured out that people really like it when you greet them sitting, and has started ringing the bell on the back door to go out. (All in less than a week!!!) Schroeder really likes his crate and goes and lays down inside of it on his own accord. He does not cry when we leave him in his crate, but he will keep you up ALL NIGHT if you do not tire him out or let him nap too much. He really loves to play tug, and is interested in playing ball when he can take the ball and make it his. Update: Loves ball and chases the frisbee on the ground. He is starting to hit the puppy attitude full swing. Listens well, but is stubborn as hell. I am working with him by frustrating him on purpose so he learns how to deal with it properly. He throws mini temper tantrums that are improving with practice. He is amazing with his crate and potty training. He has let us know every time he needed to potty by ringing the bell on the door for the last 48 hours and hasn't had a single accident in his crate while we were at work, or while he is sleeping. He has started to pull on the leash, so we are working on that. He is very full of himself and a fun guy to be around. Between us and Sita he has learned to not bite hard, but he does like to chew. I already lost a hair dryer with two Schroeder chomps. He is also quite noisy!
