| About Me |
| Calvin is a black and white, classically marked male who the owner states has a little lab mix in him. He is 8 1/2 years young and was rescued from a shelter as a puppy. He has lived happily with one family his whole life and they've done a lot of work with him.
PLEASE NOTE: If an interested adopter has concerns about veterinary costs on an older dog, please don't let that be a barrier. Calvin's owner would like to talk to you and is willing to discuss solutions to that.
Calvin knows all his basic commands and respects his current owners as alpha, although he has some alpha tendencies and occasionally needs a reminder of who is in charge. He is active, loves 3-4 long walk/runs each week and enjoys an active life style (hiking, running, skiing, biking, and fetching rocks and sticks). He enjoys water, is no problem to bathe, and likes swimming. The family is rehoming him because Calvin has never been comfortable around children (he growls and will nip if cornered) and they now have a 7 month old child. They are very upset about rehoming him, but want him to continue to enjoy an open and active lifestyle and not be constantly confined and they are concerned that he will not be compatible with their baby and it will only get worse as the child grows into a toddler. Calvin is an active and affectionate dog, who needs an adult home. He is currently living with his family in northern rural Arizona (Parks, outside of Flagstaff).

| Calvin is currently with his original owner who is seeking to rehome him to an active home without young children. He has always had a fear of children and they now have a new baby (7 mos). |
